PIB Group have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Business Change division.
The Role:
We are recruiting for a Business Analyst to proactively engage with our businesses and functional departments to identify strategies and translate these into work packages and definitions suitable for delivery by technology and business project teams. Ensure that project deliveries adhere to the business requirements and support delivery teams in delivering solutions that meet those needs, working with both the project teams and stakeholders as required.
Responsibilities:
To plan and lead workshops with business and technical staff, documenting outputs, proactively seeking subsequent agreement and sign-off.
To elicit functional and non-functional requirements via analytical techniques such as interviews, workshops, process modelling and examination of business collateral. Document requirements with clear priorities.
To understand current business processes at PIB and map them in standard formats such as Cross-Functional Flowcharts.
To recognize strategic opportunities for improvement to current business processes through logical reasoning and an appreciation of the technical impact in an SOA environment.
To reconcile conflicting information obtained from multiple sources and be able to recognize the “big picture” from a mixture of low-level and fragmented information.
To act as a conduit between business staff and the technical development and support teams.
To manage full project lifecycle activities, including Model Office testing and to support the UAT Manager as necessary. Includes contributing to the creation of test scripts, plans and scenarios, as well as preliminary testing of software to verify requirements have been met.
New ideas proposed and implemented for improvement to business processes and/or software development practices.
Experience:
Proven experience of providing business system analysis services in a project environment
Communicating with Senior Management
Strong soft skills and stakeholder management experience
Working with third party outsource companies
Perceived to be a domain expert by both business and IT teams
Good knowledge of Microsoft Visio or other modelling / graphical tools, strong knowledge and experience of Business Analysis tools and techniques, project management methodologies and knowledge of modelling practices (e.g. UML or BPMN/BPEL).
Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Experience in workflow/BPM implementations, waterfall and RAD/agile implementations, model Office / UAT management/Use cases and risk analysis.
You will need to have excellent communication skills both verbal and written with great accuracy, attention to detail – low levels of error.
