Role: Lead Developer

Location: Birmingham - 1 Day A Week / Remote Working

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000

This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Lead Developer or exceptional Senior Developer to join a cutting-edge, Data Analytics led software house. You will lead their development team to assist in the creation of innovative software solutions to provide large companies insight to reach Net Zero. You will visit their central Birmingham office on a Monday (expenses covered), working remotely for the remainder of the week.

The successful candidate will be a competent Java Developer with technical experience with Spring Boot, who understands core Java design and best practices. You would have also worked in Agile development environments, having previously used Jira to plan, execute, and deliver sprints. Experience with Angular and Cloud Development would be extremely beneficial but is not mandatory.

They are looking to migrate to an Azure Native development environment, allowing for modular and reusable assets to streamline future development projects. You will be a key element in helping achieve this migration, supported by their third-party Azure specialist to oversee the design of their coding architecture to transfer their applications with the assistance of a team of two developers.

Role

As their Lead Developer, you will lead their small two-person development team in overseeing all elements of an application lifecycle, from designing to maintenance. You will have a large part in overseeing the migration of their applications to an Azure Development environment, whilst implementing and ensuring compliance with Java best practices and coding standards.

Experience

We are looking for a technically competent Senior Developer or Lead Developer, who has experience developing in Java and Sprint Boot following software design standards and best practices within Agile environments. Other beneficial aspects of a successful applicant for this position include:

Experience mentoring and leading small development teams.

Technical understanding of Angular or equivalent MVC frameworks.
