Information Security Architect (hybrid working model in Slough or Chester)
I am on the lookout for a candidate that would like to work for a global leader in the nuclear industry and to be part of a major overhaul to completely modernise their IT infrastructure. Off the back of upgrading their legacy infrastructure, they are growing their Information Security department. Are you an Information Security enthusiast that would like to be part of this major overhaul?
As the Information Security Architect, you will be integral to their cyber security maturity, while helping the business maximize opportunities to maintain and grow its core business and rapidly pivot to new ventures.
They are embarking on a Cloud (Azure) journey and adopting an Agile way of working. This is after a mindset change from a CIO that would like to change how the business thinks to working with cutting edge IT technologies. These significant changes will help how the business can operate with modern technology including implementing robots in their factories.
We are ideally looking for someone from a highly regulated industry working in Information Security, that is either ready to step up into Information Security Architecture or an established Information Security Architect. In addition, it would be highly beneficial if you have worked alongside IT infrastructure such as Networking, Infrastructure (Cloud) & OT/IOT.
The role is a hybrid working model and it can be based in Chester or Slough.
Responsibilities:
Building policies and processes, automating services, and helping the architecture team to embed security into the design in correlation with IS(phone number removed) & Zero Trust.
Translate business strategy, and requirements into security architectures to effectively communicate risk and assist in the development of compensating control solutions, processes and people development.
Work with other teams in the information security group to identify increases in risk as a result of external and internal factors.
Working with the IT team to deliver technical controls to mitigate threats to the company’s information and systems.
Review of existing security architecture, identify design gaps, and recommend improvements to information security controls
Key skills:
Experience working in a regulated industry.
Experience working in Information Security.
Familiar with frameworks such as IS(phone number removed), COBIT, NIST 800.
Worked alongside Infrastructure, Networking & OT/IOT.
