WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

SANTANDER GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY & OPERATIONS (SGTO) is looking for a Junior Java Engineer based in our Boadilla del Monte offices.

Santander Global Technology & Operations (SGTO) is the Technology and Operations division for Santander Bank. We are convinced that Technology must be aligned with Business needs and that our solutions add value to Users, Customers and Communities as well as stimulating the creativity of our professionals. Our Team include more than 2.000 professionals in 7 countries (Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, United States, Mexico, Brazil and Chile) developing and/or implementing financial solutions on a wide array of technologies (Blockchain, BigData, Angular, BPM, etc) on all kind of platforms, OnPremise and Cloud.

We are looking for the position of Junior Java Engineer professionals like you, with the skills and competencies required for the development of digital solutions for the creation, implementation and evolution of the new Global Platforms required for Santander Group all over the world.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a Junior Java Engineer, reporting to the BUSINESS PROCESS CHAPTER LEAD, your mission will be to transcribe the functional needs to technical solutions and specifications for its development, certification and eventual productive release. Doing so, you will apply to Group Santander IT strategies and IT patterns to perform secure, reliable, sustainable and effective solutions.

This role also involves being able to undertake developments for complex issues in order to provide our developers with high quality, reusable and well-documented assets across different projects.

We need somebody like you to help us in different fronts:

• Develop the required specifications, through the delivery of services and technical components required for its operation with a view of your own development and its integration with other teams and systems.
• You will design and develop your own data model as per specs.
• You will document your solutions in the Group Santander tools.
• You will certify your delivery and its integration with other components, designing and performing the relevant test to ensure the quality of your team delivery.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

EXPERIENCE

Required

• Overall professional IT experience about -2/3 year.
• Strong technical skills ready to become a Senior Process developer, being a reference for his-her colleagues.

Recomended

• International experience.
• Understanding and/or experience in Financial Service industry.
• Proven initiatives in Technical Communities, Start-ups, etc

EDUCATION

Recommended

• Degree on Engineering,Technology Sciences, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Chemical, Statistical, etc.
• Any specialization or sound experience on subjects related to Technology engineering.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Required

• BPM Tools (Appian,TIBCO IProcess / AMX, PegaSystems,...) or Wide Knowledge in Java.
• BPMN / CMMN.
• Database design / SQL.
• Git / Github.
• Jenkins / Cloudbees.
• Agile Methodologies and tools (Scrum, KAMBAN, Jira, Confluence).
• Languages: English (fluid written and oral). At least B2 level.

• Decision Management Tools (ODM, Drools,..).
• Low Code Frameworks (Outsystems,...).
• API Management Tools (Apigee, API Connect,..).

• HTML5 / Javascript.
• Languages: Portuguese, German.
