Working Pattern:
37.5 hours per week based on a shift rota
Monday – Thursday (Alternating 8am-4pm and 12pm-8pm)
Friday (Alternating 8am-4pm and 9.30am-5.30pm)
Saturday* (9am-1pm – working one in four Saturdays)

The Role:
We are looking to fill this post with someone what wants to gain new skills by working with an experienced team within a cutting-edge financial environment and in a great location by Salford Quays. Full ‘day or week release’ training will be given throughout the course to support your I.T. Apprenticeship, with opportunities for further supported studies.
IT Apprentice Responsibilities / Key Tasks:
Provide ‘hands-on’ user desktop support through remote desktop support, e-mail, telephone & face to face.
Review and resolve Helpdesk support tickets and escalate to 2nd and 3rd line Support teams.
Supporting and managing Client / Server applications, assisting with systems support, including system backups.
Supporting ‘Server to Desktop’ technologies e.g., Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop
Assisting IT / MIS teams in providing 1st and 2nd line support to end users.
The following experience is beneficial but not essential:
You will have knowledge of some of the following:
Desktop: Microsoft Windows 10.
Servers: Microsoft 2016 Server and above.
Microsoft: Microsoft Office 2016 & Office 365.
Virtualisation: VMware, VirtualBox, Microsoft Hyper-V
Along with the following skills:
Excellent Communication – both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
A consistent professional approach to all tasks.
The ability to remain calm, confident, and knowledgeable will be critical to your success in this role.
Ability to work proactively, establish good working relationships and think strategically.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Willing to share techniques and skills with peers.
Be self-motivated and consistently looking to learn new technologies.
