An innovative technology company with impressive plans for growth are looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join their team, based in Cheshire. Joining a small but close-knit team, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd line support to customers of the business, remotely or out on client sites.

We are looking for someone with at least 3 years' experience in a similar role, who is a self-starter and with a proven track record of troubleshooting a variety of technical issues for users/clients. Roles and Responsibilities:

Accurately and efficiently troubleshoot software and hardware faults for customers, either remotely or out on client sites.

Take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.

Provide support for existing IT systems, infrastructure and networks.

Support on existing and new IT projects - including making technical recommendations in the scoping of IT projects for clients.

Audit new clients IT systems and infrastructure, reporting back to customers on the findings and making recommendations for improvement where possible.

Work towards and complete Microsoft Certifications to support development.

Skills/Experience required:

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role and broad technical knowledge.

Windows Servers (Apply online only)) and Desktop Operating Systems (7/8/10)

Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP

Understanding of networking protocols - LAN/WAN, Switches, Routers, Firewalls

Microsoft Exchange

Office 365 administration and configuration

Virtualisation technologies (VMware and/or Hyper-V)

Excellent communication skills and confidence in a client-facing role

The role will involve some travel to local client sites (all within 1 hour) so a full UK driving license is essential for this role. There is a company vehicle available for use and a fuel card for business use. Working hours of this role are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm.
