The company are looking for a Software Team Lead to contribute to the delivery of complex Web and Desktop/embedded based solutions to enhance existing products while assisting in the creation and introduction of new products into the range, providing a senior-level Developer or QA contribution (involving but not limited to .Net, React, Specflow, Cypress, Web, Desktop, SQL, Typescript, SBCs).

This is a permanent position, offering remote working with occasional office visits (offices based in Portchester and Rugby) and paying up to £70K per annum.

Key responsibilities:

Line Manager responsibilities for team comprised of Developer and QA roles.

Providing a Senior-level Developer or QA contribution (involving but not limited to .Net, React, Specflow, Cypress, Web, Desktop, SQL, Typescript, SBCs)

Applying and developing a high level of technical skills, expected to empower, encourage and develop each member of the team.

Understanding the value in failing fast, creating certainty and taking ownership of Product, Department and Organizational goals.

Aligning with the Software Tech. and QA Lead roles on standards and technologies, with a focus on ensuring that all developments are delivered to the highest standards and technologies.

Ensuring all developments are delivered to the highest standards with all necessary documentation created and updated in-line with Product expectations.

Tracking, improving and communicating team performance.Desirable skills/experience:

Experience within a Product Development team contributing at senior-level

Proven experience contributing to the successful delivery of secure, scalable and reliable SaaS and desktop/embedded solutions

Expert use of lifecycle management and CI-CD tooling such as, but not limited to, Jira, Confluence, DevOps, TeamCity and Git

Demonstratable knowledge of industry best practices, development processes and methodologies

Able to articulate a desire and direction that in line with the mentoring, coaching and development of others
