I am working with a University in the South West of England, who are looking for a Data Architect on a 4-5 month contract.

Responsibilities

Oversee the design of multiple data models and have a broad understanding of how each model fulfils the needs of the university

Work with the Chief Data Officer (CDO) on the creation and measurement of the university's data strategy

Develop, champion, and maintain a reference data architecture to support that strategy

Develop and champion the benefits of data architecture across the university to professional services and academic groups

Set the data architecture standards and ways of working for the data community(s) both those in technology groups (primarily DDAT) and outside.

Provide blueprints and advice for projects being developed both within DDAT and through the wider university,

Be responsible for ensuring that the university's systems are designed in accordance with the data reference architecture

Work with other university data groups/communities of practice/etc to advocate and promote a strategic focus on data.

IR35 status: outside IR35

Start date: within the next 2 weeks ideally

Duration: until 31st July

Location: hybrid role (2 days a week onsite in South West England)
