We are now looking for an IT Application Support Analyst

Responsibilities

* work within the IT Applications team to support, maintain and develop all

applications across the EirGrid Group, the SEM wholesale Electricity Market platform

and all

Group-Wide Enterprise solutions.

* assisting with developing tools, processes and procedures that enhance system

reliability aligned to the business strategy

* analyse business user requirements, protocols, procedures and problems

* automate or enhance application functionality.

Requirements

* IT degree or equivalent

* proven applications support experience

* experience working in a complex, challenging environment with critical systems.

* excellent technical skills and knowledge around analysis, testing, design, release,

and support

* strong analytical and problem-solving capability

* excellent written and verbal communication skills

* ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

* strong technical report-writing capability

* ability to work as part of a team

* able to define and guide his/her own work under minimal supervision
