Global Head of SAP – Chester

Global SAP Manager required for a leading manufacturing business who are currently embarking on a Global rollout of SAP S/4 Hana. You will come on board to lead the SAP Support function and be responsible for Release Management, Change Management, Global Support and implementations in the future.

Please note this role is a Hybrid working model

Main Responsibilities,

* Full responsibility for the operation of SAP globally including: policies, application support disaster recovery, RISE, Enterprise Threat Detection, updates and upgrades

* Evaluating user needs and system functionality, to ensure that SAP applications remain fit for purpose.

* Proactively ensure the highest levels of SAP systems and applications availability to agreed internal and external SLAs

* Ensure business process documentation is maintained and that change management policies are adhered to

* Management of assigned partners and evaluation of performance

* Scheduling SAP software updates and upgrades

* Software asset management ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to and reportable within the defined application

* Managing 'crisis' situations, which may include complex hardware or software problems

* Provide direction and in particular drive forward new and existing SAP “Business as usual” projects

* Ability to work to very short timescales and deliver complex projects

* Participate in the design of information and operational support systems and be fully hands-on

* Participate in the global IT steering committee

* Integration of new acquisitions into corporate IT applications

Key Skills required,

* Proven track record in leading an application function through significant growth and change

* Excellent and proven technical skills across SAP technologies

* Solid application “business as usual” support management experience

* Extensive experience coordinating remote support with external resources.

* Excellent communication skills, written and oral and the ability to tailor that communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.

* Management of stakeholders and outsource partners.

* Understanding of how SAP applications integrate with each other and with the wider eco-system
