My client, a Software Development company based in the Hampshire area, is looking to recruit an IT Design and Technical Manager on a Permanent basis.

As a suitable candidate you will be involved in the deployment and support of advanced infrastructures to ensure successful delivery of solutions. You must also offer a strong background in infrastructure deployments such as Linux, My SQL, Clustering, Networks, virtualization, storage and Windows server operating systems supported by an understanding of security principles.

The main responsibilities associated with this role include

- Ensure robust service design, and operational readiness of technology services

- Provide training and mentorship to your team

- Management of large scale technical projects

- Responsible for centralizing change requirements within the system architecture and technology roadmap

- Ensure operational and security processes are adhered to

- Aid the implementation of ITIL alignment across the team and business

- lead the delivery of infrastructure projects

- Provide monthly reports against your teams KPI's and Projects

As a suitable candidate you will offer the following

- ITIL v3 or v4 qualified

- Ideally have VMware certification

- Ideally have Microsoft certification

- Management or leadership training would be advantageous

- CCNA/P would be advantageous

- Ideally have 5+ years of Technical Management experience

- Experience of Agile development

- Familiarity of Linux and MySQL Clustering

- Experience with support and deployment of VMware enterprise solutions

- Knowledge of Tomcat and Apache configuration

- Experience of Storage Area Networks

- Understanding of load balancing technologies

- a proven approach to security to cover network, server and principles

- exposure to replicated enterprise storage solutions

- Understanding of network design and communication protocols within LAN/WAN/VLAN environments

- experience in a SOC or NOC environment

- experience with laC approaches and use of Terraform, Ansible

- Familiarity running container such as Kubernetes, dockers both in public and private cloud

- Ability to motivate, inspire and lead by example

- Ability to track projects

- String experienced leader who is open with the ability to have difficult conversations with team members

This position is predominantly remote with some requirements to visit the office in Hampshire for meetings, 1-1's, etc.

The salary on offer is up to £67,000
