We're looking for a Senior Data Centre Infrastructure Engineer to join our DWP Digital community.

The role of Senior Infrastructure Engineer in our team is to assist in the management of Data Centre Operations in DWP by providing on site management and coordination of activities of our Data Centres.
This will mean working closely with 3rd party providers and different engineering and project teams to provide a high-quality service and making sure we meet security and compliance requirements.
You will act as 2nd/3rd line support for Data Centre incidents, problems and changes to solutions and services. And you will provide specialist technical support and assistance to projects so we continue to deliver and continue to improve our services.
You know the latest industry and organisational best practices and standards - we will trust you to use all your skills and knowledge to prepare and support our Data Centre IT Operations solutions and services, including service requirements and Key Performance Indicators.
The role includes:
Monitoring the operating environments.
Responding to incidents and problems.
Planning for growth - by providing infrastructure solutions based on application needs and anticipated growth.
Overall operation and maintenance of DWP digital infrastructure.
Deployment of new technologies as well as design, install, configure, and maintain hardware, networks, and related utilities and hardware.
Troubleshooting problems as reported by users.

You'll join us at Farnborough Data Centre, with periodic travel to the Corsham Data Centre as a part of this role.
