A brilliant role of IT Systems Engineer has become available to join an international business, responsible for the proficient operation of the business's infrastructure, including networking to server operating and supporting end users. Your new role of IT Systems Engineer will include the following responsibilities:

Management of systems including servers switches, carrying out system maintenance and protective monitoring

Provide 3rd line support, and assist with mentoring and development of System Administrators

Act as Technical Lead on projects as needed, and be actively involved in research and development to identify new systems and solutions

Design, implementation, and support of the network infrastructure, deploying new applications or enhancements to existing software and operating systems

Across the Group, maintaining IT systems and assisting in the planning and development of new systemsTo be successful in this IT Systems Engineer role, you will ideally have the following skills and experience:

Experience in a similar role, supporting and maintaining infrastructure

Sound knowledge of Linux and Cisco Networking, switches, and firewalls

Technical understanding of Meraki, SQL, Veeam, Azure, VMware, VOIP, ISO27001, Sophos, Darktrace, Windows Server, and Active Directory

Exposure to HPE SAN and a good knowledge of Cyber Security Essentials
