Senitor are working with an established organisation in the public sector, who are looking to strengthen their small but dedicated IT department with the recruitment of an IT Support Technician. Based on-site in Ellesmere Port, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing hardware and software support to users as well as ensuring that systems / networks are running at optimum efficicency.

Other responsibilities will include installing software, maintaining networks and ad-hoc involvement in ongoing IT projects.

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a proactive approach to work and who is confident in explaining technical issues to non-technical users. Ideally, applicants should have at least 2 years' experience in a similar IT support role and be proficient in supporting a range of technologies.

Skills Required:

A broad understanding of Microsoft technologies - Windows Operating Systems and Windows Servers.

Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies

Office 365 and associated technologies - InTune, Azure, MS Teams

Knowledge of Wi-Fi systems and access control

Basic understanding of networking (LAN/WAN etc)

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team.
