Service Management Engineer

My client is currently looking for a Service management engineer to look after a decommission of a legacy system. You will work as part of a global team to ensure system availability and stability while striving to enhance automation processes, performance and engineering efforts. They are offering a competitive daily rate and fully remote working, with a 12- 18 month contract.

Responsibilities :

Manage and administer core functions of the tools in ITSM department such as Tivoli NOI (Tivoli Network insight) probes and Dash, LogicMonitor, Syslogng, Cribl, Splunk cloud, and in house-built tools in Perl, JavaScript, and PHP

Manage and administer core functions for Tivoli Monitoring - syslog probe, mttrapd probe, web

Support Tivoli NOI integration with eG Monitoring tool that is used for Application performance monitoring

Support in-house build System Dependency Tool (SDT) Written in Perl, php and JavaScript

Run reports and maintain integrity of the data collected and reported by the ITSM tools.

Liaises with the infrastructure teams to roll out agents, upgrade agents and create metrics (for Splunk, Monitoring, etc.)

Initial setup, configuration, and administrative tasks of a LogicMonitor portal. Included are best practices for deploying and maintaining the LogicMonitor solution.

Implementing monitoring for OpenShift Kubernetes cluster using Prometheus and LogicMonitorRequirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

Experience in Unix or Linux systems administration essential

Must have worked on large scale Unix/Linux, Windows and Network devices Monitoing installations and help with troubleshooting

Mush have Experience with Bash/Korn Shell Script and Python or Ansible

Must have good knowledge of how syslog works in Unix and/or Linux systems

Mush have knowledge about setting up Topology Mapping in LogicMonitor
