Senior PHP Developer (MVC) Farnborough (Hampshire / Surrey Border) – Hybrid or Remote model, £50k to £55k

Avanti Recruitment is currently working with a specialist software and website provider to recruit an experienced PHP Developer. You can work remotely if you prefer but would be good to get you in the office once a month.

The successful candidate will be a key player, producing high quality software written in PHP. You will work on complex projects, some new and some existing and continue to improve the excellent relationships with customers via creating great work.

The role will suit someone who enjoys working on varied projects in a fast paced environment.

The successful candidate will have at least five years commercial experience and a skill-set that contains most of the following:

Key Skills

* PHP MVC Framework experience (ideally Symfony or Zend)

* MySQL

* Some Wordpress experience would be a big bonus, especially custom theme and plugin development

* MongoDB and Elasticsearch

* Ability to hand code fully responsive websites using HTML, CSS (LESS), JavaScript, as well as using common libraries and frameworks

* Experience with version control (GitLab / SVN) or similar

* A logical approach to problem solving and cross-browser testing

* Experience integrating third-party APIs

* Self motivated with good time management skills/ability to work to deadlines
