Here at UK Biocentre, we are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team based in Milton Keynes. Reporting to the Head of Informatics this role will involve requirements gathering, specification, testing (design, execution and follow through), project management, product management and stakeholder management.
As Business Analyst at UK Biocentre, your responsibilities will include:
Working with stakeholders, (both internal and external) to identify and specify changes to the informatics systems at UKBC.
Ensuring that specifications delivered are accurate, complete, timely and with the relevant testing criteria, and then work with them to ensure delivery to the stakeholders is managed correctly.
The collection of requirements via a range of methods, using (and justifying) the most appropriate for the scenario at the time. E.g., Workshop, questionnaire, survey, storyboard, use cases.
Collaborating on operational data flows, helping to plan, manage and execute to achieve the agreed outcome.
Analysing and verifying requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
Translating conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers / project team.
Creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
We are keen to speak to people about this Business Analyst opportunity, who have the following skills and experience:
Proven experience with LIMS and/or ERP database systems.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
Experience in gathering and analysing business requirements.
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders (i.e., Laboratory team / Lab Director / Project Managers).
Ability to clarify, plan and prioritise own work to achieve objectives in a timely manner.
Strong customer service orientation.
Demonstrable project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources and stakeholders.
In return, for this Analyst role at UK Biocentre you will receive a salary of£50,000 - £55,000 pa plus benefits including pension – employer 12% & employee 8%, 26 days holiday, increasing to x28 after 2 years’ service and x30 after 4 years’ service + bank holidays (x3 days are compulsory for Christmas shutdown), 3x death in service payment, employee assistance programme and free car parking.
