Software Developer '' Workflow Solution '' Java / C++ / API Development

Edinburgh based '' hybrid working (3 days in office / 2 at home)

Global FinTech is recruiting for a Software Engineer with Java experience to work on a new Workflow Solution.  The role will suit individuals who have 1+ years experience in Java development and are looking to further their career by working on a new exciting project to develop and deliver a new global Workflow solution.  Experience in API Development, C++, REST, HTML, CSS and Javascript would also be an advantage.

You will work with Workflow Analysts to develop the required end-to-end workflows (using Java) on the workflow solution and also deploy and support the workflows that you develop.

You will also translate the epics and user stories into workable workflows and have the technical capability to create forms within the application, that may be populated manually or automatically by the OCR and have these interact with the Platform using API's.

Other responsibilities include:

Provide guidance with process design.

Design, develop, and test automation workflows.

Deployment process components

Support the launch and implementation of workflow solutions.

Ongoing support of the workflows

Create process and end-user documentation.

Assure the quality of the automation (QA processes).

Design and integration with API's

Translating epics and stories into workflows 

To be considered for the role you will have:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Informatics or information systems or technology

Demonstrable proficiency in one core programming language (Java is preferred, with additional JavaScript, C++/C# as a bonus).  1 to 3 years experience is ideal.

Experience with web services and databases such as, but not limited to: REST, SOAP, Oracle, MS/SQL

In-depth understanding of web technologies (HTML 5, React, Angular, CSS, Ajax, XML)
