While the use of technology is increasing in warehouses & Distribution Centres across the country, the role of a Warehouse Operative is becoming even more crucial to the smooth and efficient running of our business.

We have over 150 workers on site and are looking for several more to join our growing team

As a Warehouse Operative you will be/have:

* Working hours Monday to Friday

* Organised, efficient and thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere

* Self-motivated

* Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks

* Good team player

* Good communication skills

* Reliable and dependable

* Physically fit and able to work on your feet for most of the shift; if loading, ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

* Practical and organised with a methodical approach to work

* Awareness and ability to follow safety instructions and procedures

* Good literacy and numeracy skills

Main Duties/Responsibilities

* Pick, pack & dispatch a range of products

* Load & unload trailers of products

* Help operate wrapping machines

* Project work - which can involve technical training with products

* General warehouse duties as required

In return:

* On-going role

* Working Monday to Friday 36 hours per week

* Starting rate £11.03

* Overtime Payable (after working 37.5 hours)

* Shift times: 6am-1.45pm, 10am-5.45pm, 12:45pm-8:30pm & 1.45pm-9.30pm

* FLT training offered if required

* Heated Warehouse

* Canteen on-site

* Free Car Park

* Weekly paid

* PPE provided

* Possibility of permanent roles with GXO at Northallerton
