An excellent opportunity for an Experienced IT Systems Administrator to join a well-established company based in Ipswich.
Job Title: Systems Administrator.
Location: Ipswich (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.
About the Role:
The postholder will be responsible for the management, maintenance and security of the software, hardware and Network systems of the company IT infrastructure.
The key job functions will be to ensure that all the components of the computing system are running efficiently and troubleshoot any issues with computer software and hardware. You will maintain internet connectivity, back up data and ensure that the system is not under any threat. You will also be expected to help employees by resolving issues affecting the optimal performance of their computer and networking terminals.
Working in accordance with standard industry procedures, including Cyber Essentials, the ideal candidate will be able to comply fully with current practices and contribute to the policy of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Resolving incidents, requests, problems and identifying trends with support from the service teams.
* Deploying software, creating user groups and operating system policies across the entire IT network.
* Installing, configuring and maintaining software, hardware, network and application components of the IT system.
* Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware and networking issues.
* Ensuring proper and secure storage, backup and retrieval of data.
* Replacing and upgrading outdated or defective components.
Duties:
* Continuously review our current services and either improve or suggest alternative solutions.
* Liaising with other departments within the business to ensure IT needs are met to their expectation.
* Proactively monitor alerts across various systems to identify developing problems and bottlenecks and take appropriate action.
* Ensure KPIs are met, service level agreements and operational level agreements are achieved.
* Work closely with third-party vendors during major incidents and implementation of new services.
* Produce and maintain technical processes, training documentation, and knowledge base articles for our systems.
* Work with our Security Partners to ensure systems remain safe and secure from emerging threats.
* Work with the Document Controller and others to ensure we are GDPR compliant.
* Working collaboratively with users undertaking data collection.
* Out of hours activities, such as upgrades, testing, maintenance, break-fix incident.
* Development. maintenance and monitoring of the IT Risk Register.

Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications:
* A good standard of educational attainment with a minimum requirement for GCSE passes in English and Maths.
Essential Experience:
A minimum of 3 years' experience within IT support or managed services functions, including 2nd and 3rd line.
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting issues and resolving problems at both server and End User Compute platforms.
Experience with ITIL frameworks.
Working with 3rd parties.
Experience with SIP Telephony systems.
Experience with Intune for mobile management and app deployment.
Experience with SharePoint administration and data management.
Microsoft Server Operating systems.
Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365 suite, Active Directory.
Email journaling, archiving and general email security.
Desirable Experience:
Experience with Sage 50.
Experience with online staff expense systems and apps (both IOS and Android).
Experience in working with cloud providers. Examples are Azure, AWS, GCP and private cloud technologies.
Knowledge & Skills:
Sound IT skills, including use of the Microsoft Office package, including Sharepoint and Office 365, with the ability to quickly learn new skills and become familiar with new software packages.
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Be able to work under pressure, be a team player and have a high level of self-motivation.
Possess the ability to use your initiative to ensure new skills and tasks are picked up easily.
Awareness of regulatory environment, including GDPR, and relevant accreditations (eg. Cyber Essentials).
Ability to work autonomously and proactively.
