Senior Staff Software Engineer

Dublin 1 (Once per week onsite, new site)

Circa €150K/€160K p/a

American tech company with close to 1000 employees setting up a new European HQ in Dublin City Centre… they went public 2 years ago, hiring drive in tech to scale their platform to facilitate growth.

The Job

You'll be one the first hires in Ireland, plans to grow the Irish tech function to 16 in 2023. You'll be architecting and building out (end-end) a product that is processing 100K transactions per second, and helping to hire and mentor a team of senior engineers. It's a microservices architecture, Java/Spring Boot is the stack, K8s/AWS and their frontend is on React (if you were handy on the frontend that would be a plus of course).

Skills

10+ years' experience as a Software Engineer

Experienced architecting/building large, distributed systems.

Comfortable in mentoring/leading teams.

Java/Spring Boot expertise.

AWS experience would be ideal.

Able to communicate effectively with tech/non tech people internally.

React experience for bonus points.
