TITLE: Senior Backend Engineer
You will be working in an agile processed team, directly with Engineering and Product as we grow our proposition. This role has enough scope to really make your own, and we will be there to support you throughout the process.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Write well-designed, testable code.
- Leading and planning specific tasks as needed.
- Contribute fully to the design, refinement, and implementation of new features.
- Take part in technical designs and reviews.
- Scoping and estimating development project tasks.
- Eliciting and validating business requirements and technical specifications.
- Work in an agile development environment, which puts an emphasis on quick high quality and safe delivery, using continuous deployment
- Research the best technological, architectural, and practical solutions to problems.
- Work collaboratively with the different stakeholders as needed, in a no-nonsense, no political, working environment
- Provide feedback to other members of the development team via code reviews
- Assisting with the reduction of technical debt, planning, and implementing the improvement of maintainability, testability, and performance.
WHAT YOU'VE DONE: - 4+ yrs experience preferred in software development
- Experience designing and implementing distributed software systems, preferably using microservices and coding and designing best practices
- Experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that can be seamlessly integrated with large corporate clients
- Deep knowledge of .NET core and C#
- Good knowledge of SQL and No-SQL databases
- Experience in CI/CD tooling and responsibly running solutions in production, working with logging, monitoring, and alerting stacks
- Fluent verbal and written English skills essential
- Bonus points for other programming languages like Java, Scala, Python, JavaScript, or Go. As experience with Azure or any other of the main public cloud providers
