Role IntroductionOur growing UI team is looking for an experienced front end engineer to assist with the creation and maintenance of our internal web framework and components. We provide support to other teams around the business in consuming these in their web applications. This support includes creating documentation, running workshops, and assessing requirements for new components. The role will be an active member of the front end engineering community of practice and will be interfacing with many products in the Advanced portfolio. This is a varied and far reaching role and ability to advise and be a passionate advocate for front end best practice is a must.
What You Will Do- Maintaining our internal JS framework
- Creating and maintaining components for our web component library
- Creating and maintaining UI documentation
- Maintaining the CI/CD pipeline
- Assisting product teams from around the business with component implementation
What You Will Have- Proficient in writing accessible web applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Proficient in querying APIs
- Experience of front end build tools and practices
- Experience of working in a distributed team
- Speaking confidently about all aspects of web development
- Ability to work on a solo on a project or in a larger team
- Innovating, keeping abreast of the latest web technologies, and communicating ideas to the wider team
