As a Barclays Business Analyst, you will be joining Credit Technology team within Private Banking area. You will be work in partnership with our colleagues across Product, Operations and Control Functions to design and deliver outstanding technology and business outcomes for our customers, clients and colleagues. You will also assist in ensuring the successful delivery of a major programme of change to deliver an internal rating based (AIRB) approach to credit risk management of our Mortgage book.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We're flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. What will you be doing?
• Facilitating requirement identification, capture and prioritisation, balancing the need for flexibility with the need for certainty ensuring that changes are delivered safely
• Driving Data Analysis across multiple platforms to support the provision of accurate data for the modelling team
• Driving Business Analysis as a clear set of deliverables that are aligned to Business Outcomes, project objectives and business strategy
• Applying evaluative judgement and analytical skills to operate effectively within a complex and changing environment
• Ensuring an understanding of requirements and perspectives of stakeholders and integrate into their understanding of complex situations
• Demonstrating a broad understanding of how the bank operates and the metrics and data used to measure performance
What we're looking for:
• Experience in a Business/Data Analyst role with solid evidence of both business and technology change delivery
• An excellent command of Data Analysis techniques using SQL queries
• Excellent financial services industry experience including a board understanding of Credit products
• An excellent command of business analysis methodologies - including the application of industry-standard methodologies including Agile and Barclay's software delivery lifecycle
Skills that will help you in the role:
• The successful candidate will be able to identify, rectify and appropriately escalate issues and risks whilst having an analytical and methodical approach to problem solving
• The successful candidate must be able to articulate complex topics in a clear and understandable fashion to both technology and business stakeholders
• ISEB Business Analysis
• Degree or equivalent in an IT or Business Analysis related discipline
