Business Analyst

As a Barclays Business Analyst this is an exciting opportunity where you will be part of SSAS operations which is a global team responsible for a few elements of the strategic partnership between the bank and our third-party provider APTP. The team provides oversight and governance of the processing tasks performed daily and manages relationships with key business stakeholders and the vendor to ensure seamless performance.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We're flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month, or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. What will you be doing?
• Handling day to day delivery of projects across strategic and regulatory initiatives
• Communicating project updates to senior management ensuring timely resolution of issues
• Reviewing vendor UAT/ Production pilot to ensure completeness
• Analysing defects and resolution plans
• Supporting Bank side approval of the change request process and support prioritisation meetings with technology
• Performing analysis of project plans and gather bank side requirements
• Managing relationships with senior vendor contacts and escalate as appropriate
What we're looking for:
• Proven track record of being able to leverage sound communication, influencing & relationship management skills to drive change across an Organisation
• The ability to support several projects and manage prioritisation effectively
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously managing challenging stakeholders and deadlines
• Excellent communications both orally and via email, will the ability to analyse data and present in a coherent and understandable manner to senior management
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge of securities markets including their rules and nuances
• Significant Knowledge of Asset Servicing flows
• Experience of working within the Operations function of a top tier investment bank
• Excellent Experience of working with a third-party vendor
