Job Profile IST QA Automation provides services to all clients within the Firm. IST QA partners with the development teams to ensure seamless technology delivery to our clients. IST QA's goal is to deliver a first-class technology platform by ensuring top-notch service within QA. This division will support the evolution of technology platforms and tools, manage and maintain our production plant, and ensure the implementation and adherence to proper operational controls to manage risk. Algorithmic Trading Services QA is a global QA team assembled to provide Quality Assurance services for software developed for the Algorithmic Electronic Trading, Client and Exchange Connectivity inside of Morgan Stanley Electronic Trading, part of the global Institutional Securities Business. The role is to join the existing team and help to grow the coverage globally by building automation solutions. The testing team is a good mix of full-time employees, and contractor resources located globally. The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of experience with technical experience in scripting languages such as Python, PERL and the FIX protocol. Hands on experience with development and test automation tools/frameworks are desired. The candidate will be expected to act as a representative for FIC-ET QA working very closely with the development managers and key stakeholders in the technology organization to ensure the product deliverables meets the business needs. The candidate will be involved in defining and executing test strategies for products delivered by the ATS organization for the firm.

Qualifications:

Primary Skills Mandatory Requirements:

2-4 years of experience in test automation

- Technical experience in Python, PERL or related scripting language (knowledge with the FIX protocol preferred)

- Proficient knowledge of basic coding principle

- Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux environment

- Experience working with source control / defect tracking and continuous integration system

- Adopt best practices when developing automation code including comment documentation, maintainability and data-driven development

- Ability to partner with peers and management team to continuously improve testing methods, process, techniques and use of tool

- A quick learner, being able to adapt to a fast paced heterogeneous environment and acquire necessary knowledge

- Knowledge of trading life cycle with exposure to trading and matching engines will be preferred? Basic understanding of capital markets, electronic trading, order flow and execution, FIX protocol Good To have Skills
