We are hiring a Lead Software Engineer to join our Supply Chain department, within our Inventory Management Squad squad. This squad is central to the Supply Chain transformation the company is undertaken, critical in providing the real time view of where our stock is and facilitating the movement of inventory so that the right products are in the right location at the right time.
- Collaborating with the team, and leading on the implementation of new features to our internal heavy systems, improving processes between
purchasing to supplier - Contribute and give suggestions to the ongoing build of our bespoke tools to allow better functionality. Bring your ideas to make us better.

- Bring passion to the role, to grow and stay ahead with new technologies.
- Contribute learnings to our wider stack, allowing the implementation of new features developing our growing code base.
- Engineer and implement better automated processes to eradicate manual steps, delivering improved performance company wide
- Lead from the front, be vocal and constructive - we are a growing organization, things can change - we need someone who is prepared to grow with us
- We strive to be the best at what we do, sharing best practice and self- development are a must here, get involved and develop eachother
- Collaborate with the wider development community in the team to implement microservice architecture
- Develop using TDD and peer review in a CI/CD culture, with strong support for iterative development cycles, with evolutionary design
- Continue to focus on the implementation of software using modern
patterns of software development, for functionality and scalability
Key requirements:
- Ideally 5+ years working with Java (up to date with the latest versions)
- Experienced with using Spring Boot
- Proven experience working with unity and integration testing, working in microservices, APIs
- Event Driven architecture experience ideally using Kafka
- RESTful services and APIs
- Strong technical skills
- Solid understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL) and the Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) API
