About the role
The Technical Delivery Analyst is responsible for the production of artefacts to support delivery demand into Technology and Operations through the governance and Change lifecycle.
They will have a good understanding of a typical change function and the role it plays in Technology delivery. Showing experience and understanding of the roles of other parties in change such as the business, PMO and Run functions.
The Technical Delivery Analyst will work on complex requirements from varying sources (Business, PMO, Technical), often supporting dependency and demand across a range of delivery teams having an ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.
Having oversight of the Portfolio delivery by Technical Delivery Managers, the Technical Delivery Analyst will be key to the management of a successful technical portfolio.
The role will be required to implement and maintain procedural and management documentation, included but not limited to:
Request and demand procedures;
Development and maintenance of delivery plans for a number of Tech Tribes including Resource capacity and operational capacity
Preparation of reports including status reports, Service level reports, RAID logs and dashboards, tracking across the entire portfolio
Supporting the IT management team with ad hoc requirements
Identifying risks, issues and discrepancies and taking action accordinglyThe Technical Delivery Analyst will work across all areas of Vitality, but predominantly within the Technology and Operations functions, with stakeholders in the Portfolio function, Change and Run functions, and Technical Services Architecture.
Being highly experienced in dealing with stakeholders and rationalising cross-function priorities, ensuring that key stakeholders are kept informed. Working closely with IT Operations, Architects, Project Managers, BAU support teams and 3rd party service providers, ensuring adherence to the Vitality IT Operational Change Management Policies.
Skills required
Essential
Prince 2, APM, MSP or other suitable Project/Programme Management Qualification
Practical knowledge of an IT change delivery lifecycle
Has experience working in Agile, Small Change & Project environments
Experience of driving effective working across diverse teams
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to solve problems
Strong communication skills – applicable through multiple channels (written, spoken, workshops, presentations)
Experience of working within deadlines, operating in a high pressure environment
Good analytical processing skills
3 to 5 years of IT and business work experience
Team player, with a positive and customer focused outlook
Desirable
Any Agile, Scrum or SAFE knowledge
ITIL v3 or v4 Certification
Practical knowledge of IT Operations and Service management principles and processes
Knowledge of Project & Visio and other collaboration tools such as Miro or Lucid chartAbout The Company
