We are working with a fantastic production business South of Norwich that are looking for an IT Support Engineer, covering primarily 1st Line duties.
Provide support and technical assistance to users who are using software, hardware, or other computer systems and need help completing tasks or troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests. Provide overnight on-call and early support on a rota basis.
Wou will be responsible for:
Monitor the IT request ticket system and respond to issues and requests as appropriate making sure that the user is always informed.
Fault finding on a wide range of hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, and laser scanners throughout the factory.
Perform administration and maintenance tasks relating to service desk.
Administration of the specialist factory server system.
Update the how-to documentation when required and provide training to the other members of the service desk team.
Install, maintain and support new applications.
Provide assistance with and perform system builds/re-builds, software installation, upgrades and patch management on PCs, laptops and peripherals as required.
Have some involvement in project management and delivery, including implementation, roll-out and customer acceptance, ensuring that IT procedures are followed, and relevant documentation is maintained.
