About The Role

DAS UK Group, a market-leading insurance and legal services provider, has an exciting new opportunity for Full Stack Developer to join us in our Application Development team in Bristol. As part of a global insurance group with our own law firm, we have experience, scale and strength, and an impressive portfolio of products and services. As such, DAS has been a renowned specialist in protecting businesses and individuals for over 40 years.

Our Full Stack team is currently looking for a Full Stack Developer, who will ideally hold considerable commercial experience.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

* Design and develop web-based applications, API’s and data integration solutions

* Actively contribute to team discussions and decisions, as well as contribute to peer reviews and architectural discussions

* Ensure that solutions have the appropriate level of automated testing and are tested in line with stakeholder requirements and best practice

* Support and maintain applications developed by the Application Development Team

* Continually develop your own skills and help increase the capability of the team

* Collaborate across other Application Development and Technology teams to ensure successful delivery

About You

Our high-performing Full Stack team are currently looking for a Full Stack Developer, who will ideally hold considerable commercial experience. It is desirable you will have worked in complex environments, with the ability to problem solve and excellent communication skills.

In addition, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

Essential Experience:

* Java (8+)

* Javascript Frameworks

Ideally you will also have technical knowledge of some of the following:

* Cloud Development (AWS)

* Spring (Boot)

* Mule

* Git

* JUnit/Mockito

* NodeJS (10.x/12.x)

* IntelliJ IDEA

* Relational and No-SQL Database

* Agile Working

* Containerisation
