We are currently recruiting for a temporary ICT Technician for a local school with immediate start. You will report to the ICT Manager and be part of a small team responsible for ensuring the availability and maintenance of the whole school network, including the hardware and software infrastructure. Hours of work flexible but ideally available to start work at 8 am during exam periods.
Responsibilities to include but not exclusive to:
* Ensure the smooth running of the school’s ICT support service
* To ensure that the integrity of the school ICT infrastructure is maintained
* To support the delivery of ICT across the curriculum
* Manage IT hardware & software support requests made by staff and students and are processed appropriately and in timely fashion, liaising with line manager as necessary
* Set up new computers on the network as required
* Assist in maintaining the school’s estate of client devices
* Maintain access control system user database, including printing & issuing ID cards to staff & 6th form students
* Assist in set up of IT required for internal and external examination, including exam typists, language & music listening exams and CAT tests.
* Set up staff & student user accounts
* Maintain inventory of IT equipment
* Manage school printer credit system and database
Skills required:
* Previous experience in a similar role essential
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good communication skills both written and verbal
* Confident at working with staff at all levels
