WCS/WMS Developer

The employer is leading industrial engineering and automation company specialising in robotic systems integration and electrical design services.

Responsibilities:

Execute individual engineering projects in line with client and company standards and lead times.

Drive the development of HELIX application and associated new features/products.

Engineer innovation within the WCS department, including research, development, new products, and features.

Engineer projects for clients in accordance with lead times and standards.

Develop technical documents aligned with client requirements and industry standards.

Review technical documents, drawings, and oversee software functional tests to meet project requirements.

Develop Functional Design Specifications for projects related to higher-level control systems.

Ensure accurate testing and quality checks of systems before deployment.

Develop bespoke software based on standards, specifications, and client requirements.

Participate in company training to enhance current skills, fulfill reasonable professional requests, and travel to/from UK sites during working hours.

Requirements:

Strong understanding of the design, development and testing of .api interfaces between PC/server systems

.SQL Server database development, integration and deployment

Hardware specification and understanding of hardware requirements

Network; configuration, specification, deployment and testing (industrial networks also considered)

Configurations of managed Ethernet switches and routers

Configuration of servers for remote interfaces(s) and access

C#, django, Phython coding abilities to a high level

Front end application development and deployment abilities (dashboards)

.xml/web .api/TCP-IP/ethernet interface development, deployment and testing

Client interaction skills with ability to; guide client through testing, lead client team through company processes

Ability to explain clearly, professionally and technically all aspects of the project as required to the client and staff working within your team

Team management and leadership by example required
