Role: IT Project Manager

Location: Leicestershire

Salary: Up to £42,000

My client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced IT Project Manager to join their dynamic team. As an IT Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and executing projects for our client. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all aspects of the project, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and meets all quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

* Plan and define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and team members.

* Demonstrate an ability to set plans at a strategic level incorporating tight timescales and manage to successful completion.

* Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and successful project execution.

* Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and develop mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.

* Conduct regular meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication.

* Manage project documentation, including project charters, requirements, change requests, and other relevant documentation.

* Ensure adherence to project management best practices, methodologies, and company policies.

* Evaluate project outcomes and conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

* Mentor and guide team members, providing support, feedback, and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

* Project management certifications (PRINCE 2 or equivalent project management qualification)

* A solid understanding of IT systems, networking, computer software and IT management disciplines.

* Proven experience as a Project Manager, handling multiple projects simultaneously.

* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

* Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Proficient in project management software and tools.

* Educated to degree level or equivalent or have substantial experience in a relevant field
