Digital with Purpose.
We have a new and exciting opportunity for Senior Data Governance Managers to join and help shape our growing Office of the Chief Data Officer (OoCDO).
DWP is increasingly recognising the value of data as a strategic asset for DWP and government.
The OoCDO has been setup to support and enable this strategic shift.
We are responsible for developing and promoting the Data Strategy. That data is shared and governed appropriately, providing assurance to senior leaders on the levels of compliance to UKGDPR and data risk.
We need to grow engagement, knowledge, capability and compliance in this space. You'll produce communications and public material which reaches across our organisation and achieves this aim, working with and through others to deliver.
Who you are & what you'll be doing:
You will play a leading role in the development and communication of our Data Strategy.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all users of DWP data understand and follow the Data Governance Framework and their individual responsibilities around the process.
You'll deliver roadshows, attend meetings and market DWP as a "data driven" Department focused on treating data as an asset to support government policies and to the benefit of citizens.
Building and maintaining relationships in DWP Business Areas, including central functions such as Legal, Data Protection Office, you'll be a subject matter expert on data strategy. You'll be our first point of contact for data sharing related process queries for DWP business areas, government departments or third parties.
You will also have responsibility for producing high quality communication products including progress reports to senior leaders, the DWP Chief Data Officer and the Head of the Data Strategy and Enablement.
