CV Screen is recruiting for an experienced PHP Developer to join a small dynamic team based in Hove. Our client’s company is going from strength to strength and with exciting new projects on the horizon they are looking to expand the team.

The ideal candidate will become a vital member of a team playing a crucial role in providing application support to our core business systems. The work will focus on addressing service incidents and system change requests as well as the enhancement of the existing product suite.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Craft clean, well-designed code to ensure optimal performance

Translate specifications into high-quality deliverables

Troubleshoot, test, and maintain software and databases for seamless functionality

Contribute throughout the development lifecycle, adhering to industry best practices

Develop and deploy new features to improve procedures and tools

Experience Required:

Proven track record in PHP development (version 5.6 to 8.1)

Demonstrable expertise in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX

Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, version control tools, and web service development

Ability to project manage effectively

Experience in software design and development within a test-driven environment

Effective problem-solving skills

Desirable skills

Knowledge of Golang

Proficiency in Docker

Understanding of Cloud Technologies

Experience with GitHub

Salary & Benefits: 

  £55-60k Depending on experience
