Automation Test Lead - £65k - £70k

Chippenham Office - Largely Remote working but must be able to commute to Chippenham office when required.

Due to the nature of the work - you must be able to hold UK security clearance. Minimum 5 year traceable work history in UK.

We have a new opportunity for an experience Automation Test Lead / Test Manager to help create, define and test a newly created Test Automation Framework.

This role is largely internally facing, working within an agile software development team.

The role will have line management responsibilities within QA, with the progression, personal development and performance management of reporting staff being an essential part of this role.

Experience with Behavioural Driven Development (BDD) as a software design framework is highly desirable.

A mature process improvement process exists within the team and the Automation Lead will be expected to contribute to this to ensure that process issues around QA are identified and suitable solutions are implemented correctly.

Skills and Experience that we are looking for.

Expertise in both Defining and Creating Test Automation Frameworks

4+ Years of experience in Agile environment and DevOps

Solid understanding of VSTS/Azure CI/CD Pipelines

Expertise in setting up Automation Suites in CI/CD Environment

Experience developing API automated testing solutions using UFT, Selenium, JUnit, Soap UI and JMeter

Ability to determine strategic direction and not just tactical

Strong programming and technical experience as this role will require digging into code and interfacing with developers and delivery managers

Knowledge of tools and processes for results reporting

Experience with testing big enterprise, high-traffic and multi-tier applications using MS Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Experience managing teams of Automation Engineers strongly preferred
