Looking to work with a serverless stack in a no expenses spared tech environment? Always keen to upskill and experiment with new tech and tools? Looking for an autonomous role, with flexibility and input into projects?
Well, you’ve landed on the right advert!
We’re recruiting for a fantastic client of ours based on Manchester Science Park (M15 6GZ), starting out in 2017, the Directors took their extensive industry experience and decided to build something even bigger and better, heavily focusing on the tech set up to drive the business forward. Fast forward 6 years, they are now market leaders and have moved out of the start-up phase and into the scale-up phase. That’s where you come in, we’re looking for a full stack, serverless Software Engineer to join them on their next stage of the journey.
The Role:
* Review and maintenance of current AWS infrastructure and serverless stack
* Web app development, covering both frontend and backend elements
* Implementation of new features and products across multiple environments
* Security audits of existing products
* Continue to develop coding standards and best practices
* Collaborate with the whole team to build, maintain and improve products
* Monitor performance using appropriate tooling (CloudWatch; New Relic; Splunk etc.)
* Implement/maintain continuous integration tooling
Tech Stack: React, Gatsby, Webpack, Babel, ES6, Node.js, CloudFlare, NewRelic, AWS serverless platforms (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation, S3/CloudFront, Shield, Glue/Athena/QuickSight, CloudWatch/Logs/Xray, Cognito/IAM)
The Team: a Software Engineer, a Data Engineer, a Data Scientist, a UX Designer and a UI Designer
More reasons to apply:
* Hugely flexible working hours - it’s a 7.5 hour day starting anytime from 5am to 10am
* Hybrid working – they value face to face team time so Mondays and Fridays are spent altogether in the office with an early finish on the Friday
* Unlimited training budget – they are big believers in staff development which is part of the reason they have exceptionally low staff turnover, the fund all course and certifications – great if you want to become and AWS practitioner
* Free, on-site parking and amazing office space
* They are heavily embracing AI across the business, not to replace people, but purely to supplement and support them. They use it as an aid to automate repetitive jobs and mundane tasks so the team can focus on more fun and creative things.
If you’ve worked in a similar role and have experience working with a serverless stack and many of the techs listed above, we’d be keen to speak to you. This role is due to business growth so we are flexible on the role and how it will look, more backend weighted, great, frontend weighted, also great, Azure but happy to switch to AWS, more than open to that so please do get in touch
