A Senior Business Systems Software Developer to utilise both their backend and frontend knowledge to develop high quality, scalable, innovative cloud based applications.

Business Systems Solutions is an exciting function, set up to support the wider Business as it continues to grow. The team utilise various technologies to develop and implement applications and services across our on premise, SaaS and cloud solutions to support processes within the Business to drive effectiveness, efficiency, scalability and sustainability.

With a solid foundation in software delivery, technical knowledge, people skills and passion for software development, you will be invaluable to the success of the team. You will thrive on learning and using new skills and technologies, while being eager to push the boundaries of yourself and the team.

You will be responsible for writing quality code in C#, React and .NET, ensuring you shape and adhere to the required processes and standards.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company's hybrid working from home policy.

Preferred skills and experience

Commercial software development experience in React.

Experience in .NET Core, .NET Framework and SQL development.

Proven track record of delivering high quality, scalable software solutions.

Knowledge of web design and development, responsive web frameworks and mobile development.

Experience of deploying applications to the cloud and building CI/CD pipelines to support the process.

Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Passion for software development and technology.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience mentoring and developing junior developers.

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Main Responsibilities

Working individually and with the team to produce high quality applications.

Supporting and enhancing the existing code base.

Mentoring, sharing knowledge and helping to develop the skills of junior members of the team.

Defining and shaping the coding standards and practices within the team.

Assiting product owners as required.

Supporting all phases of projects.

Writing technical specifications.

Creating work effort estimates as required.
