Power BI/ Azure/ SQL/Python/R

Currently I am seeking a new Insight Analyst to report directly to the Head of Insight at a highly prestigious brand name based in Birmingham. If you are looking for greenfield- keep reading!

This role entails developing insightful data outputs, managing existing reports, troubleshooting data issues, and fostering a data-driven decision-making culture within the organization. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in report development and be adept at collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Analyze, manipulate, and interpret data in complex structures using appropriate tools.

Monitor and troubleshoot datasets and reports while continuously improving insightfulness and data quality.

Collaborate closely with colleagues from different business areas to understand challenges that can be addressed through data utilization.

Gather, understand, and document detailed business requirements using proper tools and techniques.

Prepare insightful data outputs using the organization's preferred enterprise data visualization tool (currently Power BI).

Advocate for improved data utilization and support the Head of Insights in educating the broader business on best practices.

Present report outputs in a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical staff.

Provide training to end users during the handover process to minimize queries.

Propose and implement new methods to enhance efficiency.Key Skills:

Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical approach.

Advocate for best practices in data usage.

Previous experience in a fast-paced analytics role is essential.

Proficient in Excel.

High-level skills in SQL for data manipulation and interpretation.

Excellent Power BI skills; PL-300 certification or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.

Comfortable working under tight and conflicting deadlines.Desirable:

Familiarity with statistical methodologies such as Python and R.

Azure skills; Azure Fundamentals certification or equivalent.

Exposure to Power Platform.
