Howdens Joinery are looking for an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join our digital architecture team.

This role offers a confident and engaging Senior Solution Architect, an excellent opportunity to lead a small team of solutions architects in the delivery of high-quality digital solutions and architectural designs.

Permanent role you can be based from either our offices in Croxley Park, Watford or Raunds office in Northamptonshire 2-3 days week with home working

What will I be doing as a Solution Architect?

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will be working on several interesting digital transformation projects and therefore you'll need to have strong solution design experience in a highly complex enterprise scale-based environment in multiple channels, e.g. Stores \ Depots, Online, Customer and Payment systems.

This person will be able to effectively align Business, Data, Integration, Security, Application and underlying Technology to design robust digital solutions.

The role will involve working closely with business stakeholders, product management, business analysts, lead developers, systems engineers, project managers and the wider architecture community to deliver viable, high-quality designs to the development and delivery teams.

What we need from you:

Able to lead, manage and develop a small team of Solutions Architects

Digital, e-Commerce and/or Retail business and solutions experience

Lead and support the Design authority in highly complex enterprise scale environments in ecommerce, supply chain, depot, customer and payment systems

Confident, engaging, and a strong work ethic with a passion for transformation and innovation

Practical experience on online applications developments, content management platforms, eCommerce platforms, Payments, CRM, and mobile applications

Experience of working within a Lean Agile project methodology

Able to support the overall business strategy, transformation, and technology direction

Working understanding of integration platforms and various techniques to integrate systems

Working understanding of modern integration and cloud hosting platforms

Understanding and good working knowledge of TOGAF architecture methodology

Knowledge of emerging technologies and architectural trends
