About The Role
Hybrid role - 2 days a week in the office, 3 days a week at home.
Overall Job Purpose
As an experienced Scrum Master, you will oversee and guide one or more scrum teams, ensuring that development teams follow scrum framework values and agile practices. You will act as a mentor, motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating scrum events and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments.
You will work closely with the Product team to assure backlogs are well organised, and take personal responsibility for work readiness through DOR, and work completion through DOD. You will provide regular reporting to Software Engineering Managers and other stakeholders in relation to sprint progress, risks and issues, and release readiness.
You will collaborate in Scrum of Scrums assuring integrated solution schedules are tightly coupled and tracked to completion. You will act as the voice of the team, both in sharing their concerns, eliminating worries and offering protection from upstream changes preventing collateral impact.
Accountabilities
Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principals to deliver high quality products and services to our customers
Gets the team to a high performing level by recognising areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines
Coaches the Scrum team in self organisation, cross functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively.
Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum within the organisation
Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Refinement, Daily Scrum, Sprint review, Retrospective
Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices
Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process – scheduling the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team
Providing regular reporting on sprint status, burn up, quality metrics and KPI’s
Ensure all products are built to an appropriate level of completeness for the stage and definition of done (e.g. alpha, beta, production release)
Help those outside the Scrum Team understand which of their interactions with the Scrum Team are helpful and which aren’t.
Support the Product and Portolfio team and the Scrum Team in several ways, including:
Ensuring that goals, scope, and product domain are understood and communicated effectively to the team
in understanding and practicing agility
to help understand and shape the Backlog

CSP (or equivalent) Certified.
