Lead Infrastructure Engineer needed for a leading organisation based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, who are looking to employ an experienced Lead Infrastructure Engineer with an in-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, line management, 3rd line, Cyber Security, M365, AD, and Cloud - Azure.

The Lead Infrastructure Engineer salary & benefits include:

Some of the main duties of the Lead Infrastructure Engineer will include:

* Line management of two staff.

* Deputise for the Regional Head of IT as and when required.

* Oversee and deliver the implementation of the infrastructure programme.

* Management and delivery of the Cyber Security Recommendations (CSR) action plan and additional security controls, including maintaining the Cyber risk register and Cyber policy suite.

* Manage the network infrastructure, installation, upgrades, maintenance, security, enhancement and monitoring, and fine-tuning of network applications and server performance through the use of industry standard tools.

* Ensure the multi-site infrastructure is developed to support the delivery of time-critical business systems to a large user customer base.

* Management of Third-Line Support Helpdesk tickets.

* Lead by example to consistently deliver high levels of customer service and best practice standards, with a positive and customer focused attitude.

* VMWare support, management and maintenance.

* Maintain and develop Microsoft systems such as 365, SharePoint, Endpoint Manager, Autopilot, Exchange, WSUS, Active Directory and associated services such as Group Policy, Logon Scripts, DNS and DHCP etc.

* Administrate and support the Internet and email filtering systems.

* Manage server builds, upgrades installation, maintenance, administration and repair.

In order to be the successful Lead Infrastructure Engineer and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

* 2+ years staff management experience.

* 4+ years infrastructure experience, at least 2 years 3rd/4th line, including not limited to.

* Windows Server OS upgrades/migration.

* M365 config administration, Exchange online, SharePoint online, Teams, EndPoint Manager (Mobile) etc.

* On-Prem AD services: DHCP, DNS, Radius, sites and services, etc.

* WSUS…

* Cyber security experience, including standards and controls (NIST, CIS etc.)

* Cloud strategy experience - preferably Azure, though AWS/Google etc… beneficial. Not limited to lift and shift, SaaS, PaaS, Daas and IaaS are all options.

* 3rd party/vendor management.
