Senior API Engineer – Permanent – Edinburgh or Newcastle – up to £60K plus benefits

RESTful API, Google Edge, Business Works, EMS, AWS, Azure, Splunk, Data Dog, SOAP and Apigee Gateway

This is a new permanent role with a financial services company in Scotland. As a Senior Engineer you will lead API feature builds and technical proofs of concepts, help advise on industry best practices, leveraging your own experience to assist in design and discovery phases and ultimately enhance the engineering team.

This is a senior role with a particular technical focus and responsibility to get involved in the design and support of the API platform. There is great emphasis on collaboration as this is when the teams perform best and hep the company make the correct decision. Also, you will be working closely with junior engineers and product owners on everyday challenges, while also assisting the lead and principal engineers on longer-term technology goals.
