Software Development Manager - £85,000 - £95,000

A leading corporation that operates within a recognised sector across the UK is currently hiring a Software Development Manager with proven capabilities in C#.NET / JavaScript frameworks / Azure to manage a team of 5-10 individuals across Development, Testing and Data. Additionally the Software Development Manager will work collaboratively with Solutions Architect's to create a roadmap using tools such as Jira, GitHub Octopus and Deploy Azure DevOps.

Our client is looking to pay a basic salary of £85,000 to £95,000, with a generous pension scheme, competitive holiday allowance and full remote contract.

This is a challenging/exciting project where you will partner with the digital & technology directorate as our client enters the next phase of their transformation journey. A key objective will be to design and implement the software roadmap for the development team and oversee the design, quality and delivery of this roadmap, ensuring the output reflects the agreed vision for technology.

Core responsibilities:

• Lead the software development organisation to the successful delivery of business outcomes.

• Manage the software development budget, with an ongoing focus on personnel, vendor, and capital expenditures.

• Manage software development, test and data talent, playing a pivotal role in performance management and compensation processes, function and competency definition, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

• Lead our clients' development teams, lead the next part of our technical strategy journey and work closely with stakeholders. Provide a pivotal role in coordinating innovation and development alongside Solutions Architect to create a new roadmap.

The core requirement to be successful:

• Extensive experience in software development, building large-scale integrated systems

• Leading geographically distributed teams comprised of Developers, Tester, DBA and Application Support SMEs

• A background / technical experience in C#.NET / Azure (nice to have) Experience working with DevOps / UI UX teams to ensure the software is effectively secured.

• Familiarity of Microsoft reporting services (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS)

• Experience with Jira and Conference with Github Ocotpus and deployment in Azure Dev ops.

• Experience with Agile
