We are currently looking to recruit an Infrastructure Specialist who will be working within the SIG IT Team to provide day-to-day operation support and liaising with SIG IT third party solution providers to help troubleshoot, deploy and maintain SIG standards. This role requires knowledge of Systems Management, End User Devices, Identity Platforms, Operating Systems and Collaboration Platforms.
Success in this role requires strong technical skills, problem solving/troubleshooting, organization, planning, and communication. You must also be intolerant of manual activities that will impede reliability, scaling, and efficiency. You must be willing and able to find ways to automate critical and repetitive tasks to ensure consistent execution at scale, while limiting mistakes.
What does the role involve?
The activities noted below provide a non-exhaustive list of the responsibilities held by the role. The company will expect the specialist to assume additional responsibilities, as business needs dictate.
Responsible for delivering and maintaining a highly reliable systems infrastructure, as well as providing recommendations for effective and efficient management of IT system resources
3rd line incident response and trouble ticket handling for issues impacting the User Experience environment and Infrastructure
Create, edit and react to system alerts and service or incident escalations
Review and organize latest hot fixes, critical updates and version upgrades handled by 3rd party providers
Provide and assist in the creation of documentation, policies and procedures
Work with cross functional IT teams and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and or execute projects
Develop systems, automation, processes, and tools designed to make deploying, updating, monitoring, and supporting the infrastructure simpler, more efficient, more reliable, and fasterThe successful candidate will require:
Strong knowledge of Systems Management (InTune), End User Devices (Laptops, Desktops, Mobile Devices), Operating System and Collaboration Platforms
Working knowledge of Server Virtualisation, Cloud Compute platforms (specifically Microsoft Azure), Office 365, Active Directory, Single Sign on technologies, Operating Systems (Primarily Windows however Linux is desirable).
Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills
Knowledge with IT Service Management processes (e.g. - configuration, change, incident, problem mgmt.)In return we offer:
