On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join a prestigious family-run business located in the heart of Norwich. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing software and hardware support, installation, and maintenance across all group divisions.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive software and hardware support for all Group Divisions, ensuring the smooth operation of various systems and applications.

Perform installations, configurations, and upgrades of software applications and operating systems on desktops, laptops, and other devices.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to tills, PCs, printers, and phones, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

Collaborate closely with end-users to provide assistance on software and hardware usage, promoting efficient and effective workflows.

Conduct regular maintenance and monitoring of systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.

Assist in the procurement and setup of new hardware and software, ensuring compatibility and adherence to company standards.

Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, including system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.Requirements:

Experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role, with a background in providing software and hardware support.

Familiarity with various hardware devices, including tills, PCs, printers, and phones, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve related issues.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals.

Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality support services.
