Data Scientist - Remote - £80k-£100k DoE
About
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and help us develop and deploy artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions to improve IoT operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Python, R, Spark, and IoT devices. They will also have experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse. They will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analysing data from smart meters. They will also be responsible for developing and deploying AI and ML models to improve our ability to predict consumption models, identify anomalies, and optimise our operations.
Responsibilities
Collect, clean, and analyse data from IoT devices at enterprise scale
Develop and deploy AI and ML models to improve consumption prediction, anomaly detection, and operations optimisation
Work with other data scientists, engineers, and business users to understand and solve data-related problems
Stay up-to-date on the latest AI and ML trends and technologies
Use Azure Databricks and Synapse to build and manage data pipelines and analytical workloads
Qualifications
Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
3+ years of experience with Python, R, Spark, and IoT devices
Experience with AI and ML algorithms and techniques
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience with Azure Databricks or/and Synapse
