This role will suit a recent finance graduate looking for first experience in a large matrix organisation.
Location: Office based in Runcorn
Key Responsibilities
To assist the EMEA Financial Planning and Analysis team by preparing financial results and providing business analysis to support optimal decision making by the leadership teams.
Tasks may include:
Detailed reconciliation of orders, shipments, and backlog
Adhere to month end reporting deadlines.
Preparation of monthly P&L.
Gross margin analysis. Identify and highlight margin bleeders.
Investigate and understand OPEX variances to budget.
Calculate monthly commissions for the sales teams, make accruals and ensure payroll deadlines are met.
Monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends and provide explanations of unexpected variances.
Prepare monthly sales forecast from Salesforce.com (CRM tool) and circulate to the senior leadership team.
Monitor results versus forecast and 'mind the gap' analysis.
Provide commercial support in responding to pricing queries and discount analysis, deal reviews and tender support.
Assist with the business planning and budgeting process, producing supporting documentation required for the process and assisting with the Hyperion input, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Your profile:
Recent or soon to be graduate in relevant finance or accounting field
Ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues to ensure business potential
Proficient in excel and confident creating and delivering reports
Experience with any BI analytical tools would be advantageous
Fluency in English is mandatory and other central Europan languages a big plus
