An opportunity to play your part We have an exciting opportunity for a
Senior IT Project Manager in Service Change Delivery Team to manage the delivery of projects that may have multiple workstreams which all contribute to a single, interrelated set of outcomes for the business.
You will work with all areas of the business including supporting functions to develop a project vision, business case, scope, impact, budget, plan, and organisation to achieve the project vision and business outcomes and benefits. You will own and develop key business and DTS relationships necessary to ensure the business outcomes required from the project, leading a team of people typically in a matrix organization.
Accountabilities - Assume overall ownership of the project plan, budget, and scope, taking accountability for delivery of the required business outcomes and benefits to time, cost and quality requirements.
- Ensure the project supports key business objectives and is aligned to the DTS and Business Unit strategy
- Support the Change Plan quarterly, annual, and 3-year strategy planning cycle, and to identify any strategic dependencies for resolution
- Establish and run effective project governance to drive decision making, identifying, and removing obstacles to progress, resolving any conflicting stakeholder issues, supported by comprehensive reporting
- Manage the project risks, issues, and dependencies across the workstreams within the project and the wider DTS change agenda, devising mitigating actions where required.
- Direct senior stakeholder communications and change management activity to ensure changes embed within the business organisation to drive benefit realisation in line with the business case
- Manage the delivery and relationships with internal functions (e.g. DTS) and the contractual relationship with third party suppliers
- Lead, coach and motivate the project team, across business functions and the DTS organization to deliver successful project outcomes
- Undertake structured quality assurance and health check reviews of projects as required
Skills and experience - Experience of developing effective working relationships at all levels across the business, partnered with strong business and change acumen
- Experience with complex project integrations
- Experience within Utilities / Telco
- Experience of developing effective working relationships at all levels across the business, partnered with strong business and change acumen
- Proven experience in governance, prioritisation, project management, and assurance
- Experience delivering projects in an environment where both waterfall and agile methodologies co-exist
- IT control frameworks e.g. COBIT, ITIL, and methodologies / standards CMMI, PRINCE program and project management etc
Education: Ideally Educated to Degree 1st / 2nd class honours or equivalent experience
Location : We have a flex first policy that allows you to work from home, but you will be expected to work from the Windsor office as required
