2nd Line Support Engineer (Windows , Win , AD , Active Directory, Office 365 , Intune, Hardware / Break fix, MAC , IOS) – Permanent – Blackpool
Charles Simon Associates are currently looking to recruit a 2nd Line Support Engineer on a permanent basis in Blackpool. This role will be working within a large team IT Team that will offer the successful candidate fantastic growth within their technical capabilities and develop their mentoring skills for the 1st line support team.
Location: Blackpool
Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 per annum
Skills/Requirements for the 2nd Line Support Engineer:
Start date is ASAP for the 2nd Line Support Engineer
The 2nd Line Support Engineer will be responsible for:
* Windows 10/11 operating system/device provisioning, Active Directory, Group Policy
* System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM)
* Application deployment
* Exposure to Server Operating Systems (2019 onwards)
* Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
* Office 365
* Patch Management, Microsoft Intune
* Hardware/Break fix
The 2nd Line Support Engineer will be responsible for:
* Ensure that IT security implications are fully prioritised at all times, whether arising via BAU, incidents, service requests, or planned changes.
* Providing timely, efficient, reactive and proactive troubleshooting, diagnostic and resolution of escalated incidents and requests.
* To assist in the upskilling of 1st line colleagues. Identify, and action own professional development plans and training opportunities. To provide operational reports to IT management.
* Resolve escalated incidents and requests within defined service level agreements.
* Carry out regular disaster recovery testing as per schedules.
* Comply with IT asset management procedures.
* Provide a proactive support service, making use of automated monitoring platforms.
* Promptly review change requests, ensuring that change management procedures are followed, whilst maintaining appropriate records.
* Proactively recommend continuous improvements to the End User Computing Services.
* Assist with patching compliance and vulnerability remediation.
* To assist in the upskilling of 1st line colleagues. Identify, and action own professional development plans and training opportunities. To provide operational reports to IT management.
